Springfield Walks Step-On Guide Service

This service is limited to coach and bus groups over 15 persons visiting Springfield in need of a guide to step on board their coach and guide the group to requested sites.

Our guides are professional, knowlegeable, efficient, and will get your group where you need to be on time.

Our guides are trained to be familar with stories not typically told at the sites.  

If your visit to Springfield involves visits to the historical sites or museums and your groups is larger than 15 you must have reservations made through the Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Springfield Walks is not permitted to fill out the reservation form, it must be done by the tour or organization leader. However, we can assist you with planning your visit.

How to Hire A Step-On Guide

1. Give us a call or send us an email and check for date/time availability.

We'll also discuss your visit and make sure it's planned out well.

2. Send Springfield Walks a $40 deposit to secure a guide for your visit.

3. Once we receive your deposit we will email a booking confirmation to you.

4. Once you have your official itinerary from the SCVB please forward that itinerary to us.

Once these 4 steps are done you have  guide reserved for your group visit.

5. About 7-10 days prior to the date of your visit, give us a call just to touch base base and make sure your tour leader and our guide has each others cell phone numbers so they can communicate. Cell numbers are kept confidential.

Final payment less deposit is due by the end of your tour. Guide can accept company/organiazation check. Cash or CC payments must be made inside our tour HQ.

Guides and drivers always appreciate a tip if they've done a good job.

Deposit Refund Policy

Your deposit is refundable up to 14 days prior to your tour date if your tour is canceled. Under 14 days the deposit is forfeited.   

Step-On Guide Rates

$40 for time up to one hour

$75 for time over 1 hour to 4 hours (half day)

$150 for time over 4 hours to 8 hours (full day)
